It’s official! Britney Spears will be releasing her sixth studio album ‘Circus’ on her birthday, December 2. Her label Jive/Zomba announced that her first single ‘Womanizer’, which was produced by the up and coming Atlanta production team The Outsyders, will drop on September 22. That’s this Monday! Britney also enlisted the help of established producers and writers for her newest effort including Dr. Luke who wrote and produced the album’s title track, Danja, Max Martin, Bloodshy & Avant and Guy Sigsworth who has previously worked with the likes of Madonna, Alanis Morissette and Bjork. From the list of her producers, her album is shaping up to be a hit.

Mariah Carey’s new single has dropped this week and not just that. The singer has also revealed the name of her new album as well as other new details about its release. Her new album is called “E=MC²”, it will be out in stores on April 15th. The first single off of the album is ‘Touch My Body’ which was written and produced by Mariah, C. ‘Tricky’ Stewart and The Dream. It hit radios on February 12th. A video for the song, which is directed by Brett Ratner, will premiere soon.
Other guest producers on her album include Jermaine Dupri, DJ Toomp, Stargate, will.i.am, Bryan Michael Cox, Nate ‘Danjahandz’ Hills and James Poyser.

The lead single off of the album ‘Feedback’ is already getting massive airplay which has excited even more people about Janet’s comeback. And for those wondering just when we’ll get it, her new album ‘Discipline’ now has an official release date for February 26th. I can’t wait! I really hope that she would do a tour for this one. She needs to really go out there again.

Kelly Clarkson is about to work her not-so-impressive songs much more as she and country legend Reba McEntire are reportedly going on tour together. The joint tour will kick off on January 17th in Dayton, Ohio and ends by February 16th in Kansas City, Missouri.
That’s 1 night, 1 band, 2 singers. Too bad everyone will have to sit through all the crappy songs from Kelly’s new album with a few sprinkles of her past hits but we’ve all got Reba to look out for.
Kelly has been a lifelong fan of Reba and even hired Reba’s husband as her new manager this year.

With record stores going on respirators with the falling record sales, it shouldn’t be a wonder why a lot of artists are going digital with their releases. And it doesn’t apply to just the new artists. Take the Spice Girls as an example.
The 90s super girl group recently announced that their new Greatest Hits album wouldn’t be sold in traditional retail outlets. Their new record will only be available at online retailers, like iTunes, and Victoria’s Secret stores. Ladies, don’t forget to buy some lingerie while you’re at it.
Maybe they’re getting money from the store too just like a lot of artists being sponsored by retail brands.
